New Delhi: Kriti Sanon on Thursday dropped the first motion poster of her much anticipated film, Mimi. In the motion poster, the actor can be seen with holding a baby bump, and the text on it reads, "Nothing like what you’re expecting!" Sharing the motion poster to her social media, Kriti wrote, "This July, expect the extraordinary from the ordinary! Stay tuned. #Mimi."

Mimi reunites Kriti Sanon with her Luka Chuppi director Laxman Utekar, and co-star Pankaj Tripathi. The actress has previously shared screen space with Tripathi in Luka Chuppi and Bareilly ki Barfi. Produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films in association with Jio Studios, Mimi is based on the 2011 Marathi film Mala Aai Vhaaychy which had won the National Award for Best Feature Film.

The plot of the film revolved around surrogacy where Kriti is expected to play the role of a surrogate. anon clarified that Mimi is not going to be a serious, preachy movie on the subject. She said, “It’s not preachy or serious. It’s not like you are going to watch a film on surrogacy and it’s going to be a documentary film. It’s a very entertaining film, filled with humour, and a lot of ups and downs. There’s a beautiful graph of the woman I am playing, Mimi, where she wants to be an actress.”

Besides Mimi, Kriti also has Bachchan Pandey and Bhediya in her pipeline of films.
