Laal Singh Chaddha VS Raksha Bandhan: Which Movie to watch this weekend?

Laal Singh Chaddha VS Raksha Bandhan: So Bollywood Megastar Akshay Kumar’s Film Raksha Bandhan and Mr Perfectionist, Aamir Khan’s Film Laal Singh Chaddha were released on Thursday, that is 11th August.
As both the films have a super Duper Cast and the trailer looked quite promising, thus the fans are not only looking forward to watching the film, but also wish to know which film outshined in this clash of the titans (As some fans are rightly tagging them.)
The audience also desired to know which film has a better storyline and expected to do better at the box office. So let’s not just review the film, about also take a look at their expected Box office collection, On Day-1.

Let’s Review Raksha Bandhan

So Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar’s starrer is simple yet straightforward. The focus is on Akshay Kumar’s relationship with his four sisters and the story revolves around them. These sisters, played by Sadia Khateeb, Deepika Khanna, Sahejmeen Kaur and Smrithi Srikanth, are considered not quite ‘marriageable’ by the society. And in the process to find a suitable groom for his sisters, Akshay’s love for his childhood Sweetheart (Played by Bhumi Pednekar) is at stake.

Positives
So the film obviously has a social message, with a twist. At times the dialogues may seem a little cringy, but the presentation is nice. Overall, the film is very simple, nothing over the top, to the point, a little funny and definitely a one time watch. (With your entire family, for sure)

Mins points
While, the first part needed better editing, and things are kinda stretched out in the second part.
Also, bhumi’s part is appealing but she doesn’t get much of that screen space.
Some cringy dialogues, but the performance does deserve a special mention.

Let’s Review Laal Singh Chaddha

LAAL SINGH CHADHA is an Indian adaptation of FORREST GUMP.
While Laal Singh Chaddha ( Played by Aamir Khan) is born in 1971 to Gurpreet (Played by Mona Singh). She is separated from her husband and raises Laal alone. As a young boy, as he finds it difficult to walk, is fitted with leg braces. It’s not just that, he has a low IQ hence, he is always made fun of at school. But Rupa Dsouza (played by Kareena Kapoor Khan) his classmate, becomes his close friend. Laal falls in love with her instantly. Both study in the same college in Delhi too.

One day, while Laal is being chased by some bullies, he accidentally enters his college ground and the sports coach mentors him after he sees him running at lightning speed. Laal later Goes on to become a champion. In this process, he also becomes friends with Chaitanya Akkineni. And it is then that the story takes a turn and the plot becomes interesting.

Positives

So the star cast is top-notch. Acting is to the point. Some are even saying that LSC is even better than the original (that is Forrest Gump).
The direction is neat and the dialogues are simple yet appealing. The chemistry between the lead pair is quite sweet and pleasing. Mona Singh is adorable. Chaitanya Akkineni leaves a huge mark despite having a small role. Overall it does deserve to be seen!

Negatives

Meanwhile, the film’s biggest flaw is the duration. When compared to the original one, LSC Is about 22 minutes longer. The second half does feel a bit stretched out and is slow paced. The only drawback is the Duration, and that’s it.

Laal Singh Chaddha vs Raksha Bandhan: box office collection

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha has had a higher number of screens allotted and also saw more advance bookings, thus when compared to Akshay’s film, LSC seems to have the upper hand so far.
Also, Aamir Khan has returned to the films after 4 long years thus this film is ought to gain more attention.

Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha is getting better reviews from the audience, as it has a lot of plus points (over the top elements) and the story looks more appealing.
Whereas, Raksha Bandhan is just nice, simple and straightforward.

While till now, Laal Singh Chaddha definitely has an upper hand, But you definitely don’t want to miss any of them.
We have got to mention, that both the films are getting good response and definitely a one time Watch!
