Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi to reunite for Nitesh Tiwary's web-show on 1999 Wimbledon win

Filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari along with wife Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari is all set to collaborate with tennis legends Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi for an OTT project. The web-series will reportedly portray behind the scene story of the duo's historic 1999 Wimbledon win which recently marked 22 years.

Sharing a photo of himself, Leander, Mahesh and Ashwiny, Nitesh wrote, “Excited and honoured to bring the untold story of tennis legends @leanderpaes and @mbhupathy to the world along with @ashwinytiwari on #Zee5.”

Recently, Leander Paes shared a picture to celebrate 22 years of his Wimbledon win with Mahesh Bhupathi. "22 years ago today, we became the first Indians to win @Wimbledon . As two young boys all we dreamt of was making our country proud! @Maheshbhupathi #LeeHesh (sic)," read Leander's note.

Replying to his tweet, Mahesh wrote, "Hmmm ..That was special!! Do you think it’s time to write another chapter? @Leander #LeeHesh (sic)," hinting at their collaboration.

The series on Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi's will stream on Zee5. The makers are yet to reveal star cast for the project.
