Lok Sabha Elections 2024: From Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao to Akshay Kumar, Actors Cast Their Vote Early in the Morning; WATCH

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting is also known as the great festival of democracy and it is important for all citizens to participate in it. Lok Sabha elections in the country started on April 19 and since then elections are being held continuously in different phases. The fifth phase of elections in the country is being held today which includes 8 states and Union Territories. Elections are going on in Mumbai today, so all the actors and actresses are coming out of their homes to vote. Bollywood actors Akshay Kumar, Farhan Akhtar, Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Sanya Malhotra have cast their votes early in the morning.

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is famous for waking up early and he showed that on the election day also. The actor casted his vote early in the morning and appealed to everyone to cast their vote today. While talking to the media, he said, “I want my India to be developed and strong. I voted keeping that in mind. India should vote for what they deem is right…I think voter turnout will be good.”

Janhvi Kapoor

Janhvi Kapoor also went to vote early in the morning and she was seen requesting people to vote for the nation because it is necessary duty. The actress was seen in pink suit and leggings. According to reports, the actress casted her vote early because she is busy in the promotions of her film Mr and Mrs Mahi.

Sanya Malhotra

Actress Sanya Malhotra came nearly 8 AM to cast her vote and the actress showed the indelible ink mark on her finger after casting her vote at a polling booth in Mumbai. She was wearing a casual black t-shirt and trousers.

Rajkummar Rao

Rajkummar Rao was also among the actors who casted their vote early and he also appealed to vote. The actor seen in casual outfit and showed his inked finger towards the camera while interacting with the media. He said, “It is a big responsibility towards our country, we should vote. Through us, if people can get influenced then of course that’s the biggest thing that we can do to make people aware of the importance of voting.” For the unversed, Election Commission of India has chosen him as National Icon.

Farhan Akhtar

After voting at a Mumbai polling location, actors Farhan Akhtar and Zoya Akhtar displayed their inked fingers. They were spotted together in informal attire outside the polling place.
