The debate started on Reddit after a user shared a fan-made poster showing Kangana Ranaut with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. They wrote, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali should’ve taken a bolder call for LoveAndWar, casting Kangana Ranaut instead of Alia Bhatt. The online buzz also brought back rumours of tension among the lead actors. Some claimed these issues were delaying the film. However, a report by Mid-Day dismissed these claims.
A source from the production team said, “The unit is currently on a scheduled year-end break. This was locked months ago. Bhansali films are mounted on a massive scale, so any pause is immediately seen as a delay.”
Another insider explained that the remaining shoot involves “patchwork and VFX because it is a period film, select scenes, and musical portions.”
The source also addressed rumours of a rift. They said, “These are long, demanding shoots. Ranbir, Alia and Vicky are fully on board and committed. They plan to resume by mid-January until March, with post-production moving along in parallelly.”
