Maalik Box Office Collection Day 2: Rajkummar Rao Starrer Shows Notable Growth, Wins Clash Against Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan, But…
Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik jumps on Day 2 with Rs 5.25 crore, taking its total to Rs 9 crore. Despite leading the box office clash, it still struggles with low earnings.
Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik has taken the lead in its box office clash with Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, but the road ahead doesn’t look easy. The film did show growth on day two, but it's still far from becoming a box office hit.
Maalik Box Office Collection Day 2
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Maalik earned Rs 5.25 crore on Saturday, which is a notable jump from its opening day figure of Rs 3.75 crore. This takes its two-day total to Rs 9 crore. The film saw steady growth in occupancy throughout the day, with an overall 14.16% occupancy in Hindi. Morning shows had just 6.40%, but the number rose to 16.95% in the afternoon and hit 19.14% by evening.

Even with the improvement, the performance is underwhelming. While it’s winning the weekend clash, the film needs stronger weekdays to come close to the “hit” tag.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan Box Office Collection Day 2
Talking about Shanaya Kapoor’s debut film Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, it is struggling to find its footing. The film made Rs 0.43 crore on Day 2, slightly higher than its Day 1 total of Rs 0.30 crore. Its total now stands at Rs 0.75 crore, far behind Maalik. It’s shocking to see the film not being able to cross even Rs 1 cr on the opening day. That says a lot about its audience demand and indicates that this Vikrant Massey starrer is not here to stay like 12th Fail.
Despite its promotions and a star cast including Vikrant Massey, the film couldn’t pull in audiences. It recorded an overall occupancy of just 12.61% in Hindi on Saturday. The opening is one of the lowest of 2025 so far.
