Mahavatar Narsimha Vs Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office Collection: Hombale’s Animated Film Does Well, But Pawan Kalyan Starrer FLOPS!
Mahavatar Narsimha is gaining momentum at the box office with strong Day 2 growth, while Hari Hara Veera Mallu faces a sharp drop despite a big opening. The animated mythological film is winning praise for its storytelling and visuals.
Ashwin Kumar’s Mahavatar Narsimha is showing strong box office growth. Released on July 25, 2025, the animated mythological film started slow but picked up pace on Day 2. Produced by Hombale Films and Kleem Productions, the film is now gaining attention in India’s devotional animation space.
Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection Day 2
On its second day, Mahavatar Narsimha saw a sharp jump in collections. The Telugu version alone earned around Rs 1.25 crore, while the versions in other languages added Rs 25 lakh. The film’s total Day 2 gross was estimated to be between Rs 5.25 crore and Rs 5.50 crore. Its net collection stood around Rs 4.50–Rs 4.75 crore, as per early reports from Sacnilk.
Viewers are connecting with the film’s emotional storytelling and detailed visuals. The story follows Lord Vishnu’s Narasimha avatar and his fight against the demon Hiranyakashyap. With a runtime of 2 hours and 21 minutes, the film’s powerful climax has received praise, although some critics found the first half a bit slow.
Mahavatar Narsimha is also the first film in the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe. This series aims to present all ten avatars of Lord Vishnu through modern animation. The film premiered at the International Film Festival of India in 2024 and is now running in cinemas in both 2D and 3D formats. It has been dubbed into five Indian languages.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu Box Office Collection Day 3
In comparison, Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu is seeing a sharp fall in its box office numbers. The film, which released a few days earlier, had a solid start. Directed by Jyothi Krishna, it tells the story of a brave outlaw set in the 17th century.
On Day 1, the film earned Rs 34 crore, with an extra Rs 12 crore coming from Wednesday previews. However, after receiving poor reviews, its collection dropped to just Rs 8 crore on Day 2. On Saturday, it managed to earn Rs 9.25 crore. The total collection over three days now stands at Rs 64.75 crore.

This is Pawan Kalyan’s first film after becoming Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, which created much hype. Still, the falling numbers suggest that political fame cannot guarantee box office success.
As Mahavatar Narsimha continues to draw viewers with its content, the coming days will be key. Meanwhile, Hari Hara Veera Mallu seems to go on Indian 2 and Game Changer’s way. It will be almost impossible to recover from its drop.
