The box office battle between Mahavatar Narsimha and Kingdom has a clear winner — and it’s not the spy-action thriller. Hombale Films’ animated mythological epic is ruling cinemas even in its third week, earning nearly 20 times more than Vijay Deverakonda’s latest release on the same day.
Mahavatar Narsimha Box Office Collection Day 18
Released on July 25, Mahavatar Narsimha has set new standards for Indian animated films. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, the film is winning over audiences across multiple languages, with a particularly strong pull in Hindi-speaking regions.
On its third Monday, the film collected Rs 5.25 crore, taking its India total to Rs 174.90 crore. Over the third weekend, it earned Rs 20.5 crore on Saturday and Rs 23.5 crore on Sunday, showing no signs of slowing down.
According to Sacnilk, the domestic total after 17 days is Rs 171.92 crore, while the worldwide figure has crossed Rs 210 crore. It recently became India’s highest-grossing animated film, surpassing Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Hanuman.
Another big achievement came when it outsold Pushpa 2 on BookMyShow during its third weekend, with 1.32 million tickets booked. Produced by Kleem Productions and presented by Hombale Films, the movie is available in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada in both 2D and 3D formats.

Kingdom, which was released on July 31, is facing a sharp drop in collections. The spy-action thriller had a decent start but failed to keep audiences engaged.
On its second Monday (day 12), the film earned just Rs 0.26 crore – a fraction of what Mahavatar Narsimha made on the same day. Its total India box office stands at Rs 50.95 crore.

The film stars Vijay Deverakonda as Surya, an honest constable turned secret agent. The story follows his mission from India to Sri Lanka, where he uncovers secrets about his brother Shiva (Satyadev). Bhagyashree Borse plays Dr Anu, with Venkatesh VP as the main villain.
Despite low numbers, reports suggest a sequel is being planned. But with major upcoming releases like Coolie and War 2, Kingdom may soon lose more screens.
The Monday earnings tell the real story – Rs 5.25 crore for Mahavatar Narsimha versus Rs 0.26 crore for Kingdom. That’s nearly 20 times higher. This proves the massive difference in audience response.
