Maidaan teaser: Catch the glimpse of Indian football's golden period in this Ajay Devgn starrer

Maidaan teaser: The teaser of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan was released today. The teaser of the film was attached to Ajay’s film Bholaa and has now released across social media platforms as well. Maidaan sees Ajay Devgn playing the role of a football coach with an approach similar to Kabir Khan played by Shah Rukh Khan in Chak De India.

The Maidaan teaser sees Indian Football team in the 1950s being introduced upon its qualification for the Olympics for the second time only. The catch here is how they are playing the game barefoot instead of some fancy sponsored shoes. They continue to play despite incessant rain and injured legs. What follows next is some spine-chilling goals and a tear-jerker pep talk from the man (Ajay Devgn) himself.

About Maidaan 

Maidaan has been directed by Amit Sharma and produced by Boney Kapoor. The film also stars Priyamani. The film was earlier scheduled to release on October 15, 2021. However, the film was postponed due to clash with SS Rajamouli's RRR.

 “It was unethical for those people to announce on the same day, despite the same actor being the main lead of my film and one of the heroes of their film. I would take this to my grave, and it’s almost like stabbing on the back of the hero,” he had told Pinkvilla.
