Malala Yousafzai goes bold at Oscars debut in silver gown and red lips with husband Asser Malik

Malala Yousafzai: Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai made her debut at the Oscars ceremony in Los Angeles today. The Pakistani female education activist attended the 95th Academy Awards with her husband, Asser Malik.

Malala is an executive producer on the short film Stranger At The Gate. The short was nominated for the best documentary short film category at the Oscars. Malala and her husband Asser Malik had come to support the film.

Embellished gown for the occasion

The paparazzi clicked Malala and Asser on the champagne-coloured red carpet. While she wore a hooded heavily-embellished gown for the occasion, Asser wore a tailored black tuxedo. Her outfit was from the luxury fashion house Ralph Lauren.

Her silver sequined Ralph Lauren gown featured a hood that covered her head. It had full-length sleeves embellished with shimmering beads and sequin diamantes. The cinched detail on one side of the waist and cowl neckline stood out on the floor-grazing hem length dress.

She accessorised the silver gown with a large silver diamond ring, a gold ring and another silver ring from Santi Jewels. She also wore dangling earrings and high heels to style the look.

For makeup she chose kohl-lined eyes, darkened brows, blushed cheeks, and a dewy base for the glam picks. She gave the finishing touch to her look with bright red lip shade and side-parted open tresses.

Asser sported a classic black shawl lapel jacket, white shirt, and matching black pants. Black loafers, a white pocket square, a black bow tie, a trimmed beard, black loafers, and a sleek hairdo finished his Oscars look.
