Malayalam actor Innocent dies at 75; Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Khushbu pay tributes

The film industry is in mourning after the news broke of the passing of beloved Malayalam actor Innocent. The 75-year-old actor had been admitted to a private hospital in Kochi early this month after complaining of a throat infection. Innocent, who had been undergoing cancer treatment for several years, was put on ventilator support, but unfortunately, his health continued to deteriorate. On March 26, the veteran actor took his last breath, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances in comedy and character roles.

Innocent made his debut in 1972

Innocent’s career spanned over four decades, and he made his debut in 1972 with the movie Nrityashala, directed by AB Raj. Throughout his career, Innocent proved his versatility by playing a wide range of roles. However, he was particularly renowned for his comedy roles, which endeared him to audiences across the country.

The news of Innocent’s death has left the film industry in shock, with many celebrities taking to social media to offer their condolences. Popular actors like Prithviraj Sukumaran and Dulquer Salmaan expressed their sorrow at the loss of such a talented actor. Innocent was last seen in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Kaduva, and his upcoming film Paachuvum Athbhuthavilakkum, starring Fahadh Faasil, will be one of his last few films.
