Mark Movie Review: Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeepa is back on the big screen this Christmas with Mark. The action thriller was released on December 25, 2025. It comes a year after his festive hit Max. As expected, fans rushed to theatres for the first-day, first-show.
Soon after the release, social media was filled with reactions. Early viewers shared their Mark movie review, showing mixed opinions. Many praised Sudeepa’s screen presence and the background score. Others felt the story was predictable and routine.
Mark Movie Review: Fans Divided Over Sudeepa’s Action Thriller
Several viewers shared their first reactions on X, formerly Twitter. One user wrote in his Mark movie review, “Although it starts well, the narration takes a dip after a few minutes and it never picks up.. No Exciting scenes till now. Now the second half has to be better”
A viewer praised the film’s style and action scenes. The tweet read, “#KichchaSudeep’s Stylish Intro With A Dance. Action Blocks Work Well And Keep The Pace Strong. #Vikrant Vs Kichcha Sudeep Face-Off is interesting, with Vikrant’s mystery character. A Major Sequence Reflecting A Recent TN Political Leader’s Demise and Its Consequences. Interval Ends On An Open Note.”
Some fans found the first half gripping. One post said, “Done with the first half. Racy screenplay, not at all boring… From the beginning, straight to the point. Sudeep is crazy. Only a few flaws, but everything is so good.”
Mark Movie Review: Routine Story Leaves Some Viewers Disappointed
Not all reactions were positive. A section of the audience felt the film followed the same pattern as Max. One user wrote, “After making Max, there was no need to make another Max.” The same post added, “Max2 Rating 2.5/5. #Mark First half average. 2nd Half Disappointed. Totally Disappointed Routine Story Madidare. Max made me and Max Mado Avashyakate itta @KicchaSudeep Sir.”
Others felt the film slowed down after the interval. One viewer said, “The first half is a completed movie; the first half is full of entertainment, and Sudeep sir’s entry, another level song, and bgm give another vibe to the movie, making it so thrilling. The first half is full of entertainment.”
A blunt review read, “Verdict Not for a family audience at all – a boring routine story that’ll put everyone to sleep.”
Another disappointed fan wrote, “Yak andre, BGM bittu bere yenu ista agilla. Completely routine story; nothing new here. V Kartikeyaa has followed the same old pattern. No grip in the screenplay. Honestly, Sudeep, sir deserved a better film. Really disappointed.”
About The Film
Directed by Vijay Kartikeyaa, Mark is a Kannada action cop thriller. Kiccha Sudeepa plays SP Ajay Markandeya, a suspended police officer. His character carries the “MAD” tag, which stands for Mad, Attitude, Ruthless and King.
The story begins with Markandeya’s arrest for public intoxication. This leads him to uncover a major pharmaceutical smuggling racket. The plot unfolds over two intense days. He must rescue 20 missing children and expose corrupt politicians. Shine Tom Chacko plays the main villain.
The film also stars Naveen Chandra, Guru Somasundaram, Yogi Babu, Vikranth, and Nishvika Naidu in key roles.
While Sudeepa’s star power is clear, early reactions suggest Mark may not match the impact of Max. The next few days will decide its box office fate.
