Ahead of cinema halls opening after services being suspended for seven months, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal met their owners and operators to ask them to follow necessary covid-19 guidelines.
"I hope that the cinema halls will strictly adhere to the guidelines and SOPs of the Central as well as the state government. It is extremely necessary to follow the social distancing and sanitisation protocols in the cinema halls," he said.
"The last seven months have been very tough for us. The whole country and the whole world is suffering from the corona pandemic. Delhi has fought a very tough and a strong battle against corona. The most important thing is getting Delhi's economy back on track, after it has been dismantled due to the corona lockdown," he added.
As per the standard operating procedures (SOP), several guidelines were issued by the Delhi goverment to ensure the safety amid the covid-19 pandemic.
If you're also planning to watch a movie, here's everything you need to know:
*Face masks are compulsory
*Install the Aarogya Setu mobile application
*There will be gaps between seats even if people arrive in the theatres in groups.
*Wait for your turn—the intermissions will be longer. So, wait for your turn if you plan to go out of the auditorium. Show the same patience before heading back to your seat.
*If you buy food inside multiplexes, eat it in the lobby. Eating inside the auditoriums during screening is prohibited.
The points mentioned above were a part of Delhi government's safety protocols document released on Wednesday.
