The makers of Maalik just dropped their first romantic track “Naamumkin” and it is sure to win your hearts. Starring Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar, the song shows a sweet love story set in a gritty gangster world. The film hits theatres on July 11.

Rajkummar plays Maalik, a feared gangster with a hidden emotional side. In this track, fans get to see a softer version of him. Manushi, dressed in traditional looks, plays his love interest and brings a calm, graceful vibe to the intense story.

‘Naamumkin’ Shows A soft side Of Gangster Rajkummar Rao

The music video features romantic scenes between duo as they walk together, eat food, and share sweet moments. Their chemistry is visible and balances the dark tone of the film with a touch of love.

Sung by Varun Jain and Shreya Ghoshal, the song is composed by Sachin-Jigar with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The soulful tune and emotional lyrics have made it a hit among fans, with reels already trending online.

Just before the release of the song, Rajkummar shared a poster of him and Manushi smiling at each other, teasing the romantic side of his gangster character. Sharing the poster on Instagram, he wrote, "Jinke bina chalti nahi #Maalik ki dhadkan, unse hogi aaj mulaqaat. #Naamumkin Song Out Today."

About Maalik

Directed by Pulkit, Maalik is set in Uttar Pradesh and explores crime, love, and tough choices. It’s filmed in places like Lucknow, Varanasi, and Unnao. It has been produced by Kumar Taurani's TIPS Films.

Manushi’s character brings emotional weight to the story. She’s more than just a romantic angle; she reveals a different side of Maalik’s character, making him more relatable.

The film also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee and 12th Fail breakout Medha Shankr.

Rajkummar Rao was last seen in films like Stree 2 and Bhool Chuk Maaf. Apart from Maalik, he also has Stree 3, and a Netflix thriller film Toaster with Sanya Malhotra. Additionally, he is also expected play the lead in Sourav Ganguly biopic.
