About Hanna Kim
Since she tragically lost her father to cancer when she was 19 years old, Hanna Kim, 28, hopes to use her position as Miss Universe Korea 2022 to advocate for and support those affected by cancer. She also wants to use her position to promote confidence and empowerment.
She responded to questions from fans on Miss Universe’s social media in December. She spoke about life lessons she learned from ballet, messages for today’s youth, her favourite K-Pop artists, and K-Dramas.
Hanna’s Love for K-drama & K-pop
She admitted that Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which was regarded by industry insiders as one of the top K-Dramas of 2022, was her favourite K-Drama at the time of the interview. When someone inquired about her favourite K-Pop artist, she shared that she couldn’t wait to reveal that she is a certified ARMY and that the reason why is so important.

“I’m an ARMY, I’m a huge fan of BTS. I love their songs, their performance, but also what they speak for. They actually speak for a lot of different people [who are] suffering, who’ve lost hope. When I was having a hard time in my life, their songs gave me hope so I really love them.” Hana Kim said.
Hanna’s BTS Bias
Hanna Kim displayed her personalised phone case and phone wallpaper in the video, displaying her BTS bias. She proudly displayed “Jungkook” on her phone case, and Jungkook from BTS’s “Butter” era served as her phone wallpaper.
She can’t help but express her love for BTS and how relatable AF it is, even as Miss Universe Korea 2022.
