‘Monisha Speaking In English…’ Netizens Joke As Angry Rupali Ganguly Calls Out BMC After Being Stuck In Mumbai’s Heavy Traffic

Rupali Ganguly slammed BMC after being stuck in heavy traffic near Film City due to metro work. Her post went viral as netizens reacted with jokes and criticism.

TV’s Anupamaa Rupali Ganguly has shared her anger over Mumbai’s traffic. She posted a video after being stuck for more than an hour outside Goregaon Film City when she was on her way to shoot.

Her 14 km journey (which usually takes one hour) took nearly two and a half hours because of metro work and heavy traffic. In her post, Rupali blamed the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for mismanagement and poor planning.

Here’s What Rupali Ganguly Said

In the video, Rupali explained that she had no choice but to take a rickshaw to reach her shoot as the traffic was completely jammed. She shared that her 14 km journey, which normally takes about an hour in the morning, stretched to nearly two and a half hours. At night, the same route usually takes her around two hours, but this time the delays were far worse. She blamed the situation on poor functioning by the civic body and said Mumbaikars were being taken for granted.

She also pointed out that the metro construction work was adding to the chaos. According to her, a huge container had been moved near Film City, leaving half the road blocked. Rupali argued that such heavy operations should have been scheduled during the early morning hours, around 3 or 4 am, instead of 10 am when most people are rushing to work. She felt that commuters were forced to bear the consequences of careless planning and a lack of coordination.

Another wrote, “Why do you want more trp. Ab bas karo na. Use govt services, use train and travel with a mask on your face.”

A third user commented, “It’s Mumbai and not ur TC show, you are in the city for years, and the same BMC has been on the positive side also, but one problem and you use your celebrity status to shout. Pls better dare to stand in their place and see the situation from their side.”
