'My Character is Being Assassinated...,' Pushpa 2 Star Allu Arjun Responds to Akbaruddin' s Remarks on Sandhya Stampede

Following the tragic December 4th incident at Sandhya Theatre, actor Allu Arjun and AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi have issued conflicting statements regarding the stampede that occurred outside the premises.

Differing Statements Emerge Over Stampede at Sandhya Theatre

Actor Allu Arjun addressed the incident, describing it as "very unfortunate" and offering his condolences to the affected family. Speaking about the child hospitalized after the stampede, he stated, "It is completely an accident. My condolences to the family. I am taking updates every hour about the condition of the child. His condition is improving, which is very good."

The actor also refuted allegations against him, saying, "There is a lot of misinformation, false allegations are being made. I don't want to blame any department or politician. My character is being assassinated."

However, AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi criticized Allu Arjun's response to the tragedy. Without naming the actor directly, Owaisi said, “I do not want to name that famous film star, but as per my knowledge, when that film star was told that there was a stampede outside the theatre, two children had fallen, and a woman had died, then that star smiled and said, 'the film is going to be a hit now.' Despite this, he watched the entire film and was waving his hand towards the crowd while leaving."

Owaisi further alleged that the actor failed to show concern for the injured, stating, "He did not even bother to go and inquire about their condition."

The incident and the resulting statements have sparked public debate, with each side maintaining its stance on the tragedy and its aftermath.
