Kartik Aaryan is ready to explore a new kind of comedy with Naagzilla, a creature-comedy film produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. Directed by Fukrey fame Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the movie will feature Kartik in a fun and unusual role of a shape-shifting snake.
Kartik Aaryan To Begin Shooting Naagzilla From Next Month
According to a source quoted by Bollywood Hungama, Naagzilla will begin filming on November 1 in Mumbai. It is being said that Kartik Aaryan and the entire team are very excited to start shooting for the film. The pre-production work has been going on in full swing for several weeks, and the team is now fully prepared to begin filming. The makers have also planned to release the movie next year on Independence Day
The makers have not yet confirmed who will play the female lead, but insiders hint that the choice will surprise fans. The film also marks the beginning of a long-term partnership between Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films.
Not One, Kartik To Shoot Two Films Simultaneously
Along with Naagzilla, he will also be working on Anurag Basu’s next romantic drama. A source revealed earlier, “Kartik will juggle the shoot of both the films. He’s a thorough professional and has planned his dates impeccably for next month.”
Kartik and Anurag Basu are reuniting for a 25-day shoot that includes both new scenes and reshoots. The source said, “Kartik and Anurag Basu are reuniting for an important 25-day leg of this intense romantic saga from November. This includes the shoot of fresh sequences, alongside some reshoots of already canned moments.” The team plans to wrap filming by January 2026 and release the movie in summer 2026.
Earlier this year, Kartik completed the shoot for Karan Johar’s romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri with Ananya Panday. The film is set to release on December 31, 2025. Naagzilla will be Kartik’s second collaboration with Karan Johar, but this time in a completely different genre, filled with fantasy and humour.
On the work front, Kartik was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which became a major hit at the box office.
