Mira Nair: Eminent director Mira Nair who has been associated with blockbuster movies such as The Namesake, Words with Gods, Monsoon Wedding, Salaam Bombay, Amelia, Mississippi Masala and Vanity Fair has been named in the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files.
Mira, the mother of New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, attended an afterparty for her 2009 movie “Amelia” at the home of Ghislaine Maxwell, a convicted sex trafficker, a year after he was legally convicted of being a paedophile.

According to an email sent to Jeffrey Epsetin by publicist Peggy Siegal on 21 October 20009, eminent personalities such as Mira Nair, Bill Clinton, Jeff Bezos and Jean Pigoni attended an afterparty. The email described guests’ reaction to Amelia movie starring Hillary Swank and Richard Gere as “tepid”.
The email in no form whatsoever alleges any wrongdoing by anyone named in the conversation; it merely records their attendance at the Amelia afterparty.
