Audience reactions to Nishaanchi have been mixed but mostly positive. Viewers praised Aaishvary Thackeray’s performance and noted his natural screen presence in a challenging dual role.

One viewer shared, “Just Finishing #Nishaanchi On Media Press Show! One Line Review: Time pass. The Director By #AnuragKashyap Film Story Same To Same Like Gangs Of Wasseypur! But Dialogue and acting was good! 3 Stars For My Side.”

Another user wrote, “#Nishaanchi has been watched on the big screen. So much fun. @anuragkashyap72 is in his element. The humour, the drama, the craft, all the parts make the whole wholesome. Full on entertainment.”

A third viewer posted in Hindi, “Anurag Kashyap has once again brought the vibe of Gangs of Wasseypur. ‘Nishaanchi’ will give you that same feel. The film feels a bit dragged in a few places. But Aaishvary Thackeray has done some phenomenal work – outstanding. There’s some fresh experimentation in the songs. Anurag Kashyap has nailed it again.”

One user said, “Film ki Story Old hai. Gangster ki Life ko Dikhati hai. Anurag Kashyap ki Filmon Mein Vulgarity To Rehti hi hai. Unke Fans Hi Dekhenge.”

About The Film

Set in the rustic heartlands, Nishaanchi follows twin brothers caught between crime and conscience. The story explores love, loss, family feuds, betrayal, and revenge, creating a world that feels real in every gesture and dialogue.

The film runs for approximately 2 hours and 59 minutes, making it Anurag Kashyap’s longest movie. The cinematography captures the gritty mood of the story, while the editing keeps a steady pace. The background score adds emotional and dramatic depth throughout.

Critics have praised Nishaanchi, especially Anurag Kashyap’s direction and Aaishvary Thackeray’s debut performance. Many note that the film echoes the energy of classic 1980s revenge dramas but adds modern layers that make it engaging for today’s audiences.
