Rumours about Kiku Sharda quitting The Great Indian Kapil Show have been circulating online. Fans speculated that the popular comedian, known for his funny and quirky characters, might leave after a fallout with co-star Krushna Abhishek. Many reports also linked Kiku to Ashneer Grover’s new reality show, Rise & Fall, which added to the buzz.
However, Archana Puran Singh has stepped in to clarify the situation. Speaking to HTCity, she said, “There is absolutely no truth in these rumours.” She reassured fans that the cast and crew remain close-knit. “Our cast and crew are one big, happy family. And will always be so,” she added.
What Happened Between Kiku Sharda And Krushna Abhishek?
The rumours gained traction after a behind-the-scenes clip from the show went viral. In the video, Kiku and Krushna were seen having a disagreement on set. Kiku asked, “Timepass kar raha hu? (Am I doing time pass?)” Krushna replied sharply, “Toh phir thik hai aap kar lo. Main jata hu yaha se. (Ok, then you do it. I am leaving).”
Kiku responded, “Baat yeh hai ke mujhe bulaya hai toh main apna khatam kar lo na pehle. (The thing is if I have been called, then I might as well finish it).”
While the clip created online chatter, Archana’s statement confirms that Kiku is not leaving the show and still a part of their team.
Kiku Joins Ashneer Grover’s Reality Show
At the same time, Kiku Sharda is set to participate in Ashneer Grover’s upcoming reality series, Rise & Fall, premiering on Amazon MX Player on September 6, 2025. The show features 16 celebrity contestants, including Arjun Bijlani, Dhanashree Verma, Kubbra Sait, Akriti Negi, Nayandeep Rakshit, and Arbaaz Patel.
The contestants are split into two groups: the Rulers (who enjoy luxury) and the Workers (who face tough challenges). According to promos, Kiku will be part of the Rulers team.
