O Romeo Box Office Collection Day 4: Vishal Bhardwaj’s latest crime romance O Romeo, starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, continues its theatrical run with a respectable four-day total. After a solid weekend, the film witnessed a noticeable slowdown on Monday. Still, the overall performance remains encouraging, especially when compared with Shahid Kapoor’s previous releases and his earlier collaborations with Bhardwaj.

The film opened to decent numbers on Friday. It then gained momentum over the weekend before experiencing the expected weekday drop.

O Romeo Box Office Collection Day 4

On Day 4 (Monday), O Romeo collected Rs 4.75 crore at the domestic box office. This marks a 47% drop from Sunday’s Rs 9 crore. While the fall is significant, such declines are common after a weekend boost.

Saturday emerged as the highest-earning day, aided by Valentine’s Day footfalls. Notably, Day 2 saw a strong 49% jump from the opening day. Sunday’s numbers dipped by 29%, followed by Monday’s sharper fall.

According to Sacnilk, the film’s four-day India total now stands at Rs 34.90 crore. Despite Monday’s drop, the film has already crossed the lifetime earnings of Shahid Kapoor’s last theatrical release, Deva. That cop thriller earned Rs 33.90 crore over its entire 19-day run. In contrast, O Romeo has surpassed that figure in just four days.

O Romeo marks Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj’s fourth collaboration. Interestingly, it has outpaced the early performance of their previous films.

  • Kaminey (2009): Rs 17.50 crore in four days; Rs 41.30 crore lifetime
  • Haider (2014): Rs 26.75 crore in four days; Rs 55.93 crore lifetime
  • Rangoon (2017): Rs 20.76 crore lifetime

With Rs 34.90 crore in four days, O Romeo has delivered the fastest start among the duo’s films. It has already left Rangoon far behind and is tracking ahead of the initial pace of both Kaminey and Haider.

However, the film still has ground to cover before challenging Shahid’s bigger commercial successes. For instance, Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya ended its run at Rs 76 crore. Meanwhile, Kabir Singh remains Shahid’s undisputed box office giant with Rs 278.80 crore.

Even so, O Romeo has comfortably crossed the lifetime total of Shahid’s 2022 sports drama Jersey (Rs 20.85 crore), reinforcing its stronger theatrical appeal.

About The Film

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, O Romeo released on February 13, 2026. The film is described as a gritty romantic action thriller inspired by Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai.

Shahid Kapoor plays Hussain Ustara, a feared hitman. His character becomes emotionally involved with Afsha, portrayed by Triptii Dimri. Afsha is a widow driven by revenge after her husband’s murder. Together, they confront a dangerous Mumbai don, Jalal, played by Avinash Tiwary. The film also features Nana Patekar, Tamannaah Bhatia and Disha Patani.

Mounted on a reported budget of Rs 125–150 crore, the film was shot extensively in Mumbai and Spain. With a runtime of 178 minutes, it follows Bhardwaj’s signature style of layered storytelling.

As the weekdays progress, trade analysts will closely watch whether O Romeo stabilises or faces further drops.
