O Romeo Box Office Collection Day 6: Vishal Bhardwaj’s romantic action thriller O Romeo is slowing down at the domestic box office. After a strong opening weekend, the film saw its lowest single-day collection on Wednesday (Day 6).
The Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri starrer had a promising start, especially with the Valentine’s Day boost. However, weekday numbers now suggest that the early momentum is fading.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, O Romeo earned Rs 3.5 crore on Wednesday. This marks a clear drop from Tuesday’s Rs 5.35 crore. On Monday, the film had collected Rs 4.85 crore. The steady fall highlights the typical post-weekend slowdown.
Despite the dip, the overall performance remains decent. After six days in cinemas, O Romeo’s total India box office collection stands at Rs 43.85 crore. At this pace, the film is expected to finish its opening week below Rs 50 crore.
Saturday remains the film’s best day. The Valentine’s Day holiday helped push collections up by nearly 49% compared to Friday. Since then, earnings have gradually declined, which is normal after a weekend surge.

O Romeo Box Office Collection: Can It Beat Haider’s Lifetime?
O Romeo marks Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor’s fourth collaboration. Their earlier films include Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon.
DON'T MISS
Interestingly, O Romeo has already surpassed the lifetime collections of two of these films:
- Rangoon (2017): Rs 20.76 crore
- Kaminey (2009): Rs 41.3 crore
With Rs 43.85 crore in just six days, the new release has comfortably crossed both totals. The next big target is Haider (2014), which earned Rs 55.93 crore in India.
Can O Romeo beat that number? Well, the film will need a strong second weekend. Without a solid jump, matching Haider’s lifetime collection could be difficult.
For Shahid Kapoor, the film has already performed better than his recent release Deva (Rs 33.9 crore). However, it still trails behind his 2024 hit Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, which collected Rs 76 crore domestically.
Meanwhile, competition is about to increase. From Friday, O Romeo will face two fresh releases. First is Ravi Udyawar’s romantic comedy Do Deewane Seher Mein, starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi Another one is Anubhav Sinha’s courtroom drama Assi, featuring Taapsee Pannu and Kani Kusruti These films could impact O Romeo’s screen count and collections.
About The Film
Released on February 13, 2026, O Romeo draws inspiration from S. Hussain Zaidi’s Mafia Queens of Mumbai. The story is set in 1995 Mumbai.
Shahid Kapoor plays Ustara, a ruthless hitman who uses a razor. Triptii Dimri stars as Afsha, a widow seeking revenge. Their paths cross in a violent yet emotional journey.
The film features a strong supporting cast, including Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Disha Patani, Vikrant Massey, and Avinash Tiwary.
With a runtime of 178 minutes, the film received an ‘A’ certificate due to graphic violence and strong language.
Critics praised Shahid Kapoor’s intense performance. However, reviews were mixed about the film’s pacing, especially the stretched second half. This divided word-of-mouth may be affecting its weekday box office trend. For now, O Romeo continues its theatrical run, but the coming weekend will be crucial for its box office fate.
