O Romeo First Look: Shahid Kapoor has set the internet buzzing with the intense first look of his upcoming film O Romeo. The actor unveiled the poster on Friday, January 9, and it instantly grabbed attention for its dark tone and violent imagery.
Within minutes of its arrival, fans and film buffs began sharing mixed reactions online, with many calling it a blend of Shahid’s earlier gritty roles and recent ultra-violent cinema trends.

Sharing the poster on social media, Shahid wrote, “Romeo O Romeo where art thou O’ROMEO!” He also confirmed that the film’s trailer will be released on January 10. Another line on the poster read, “Catch a peek into the world of #ORomeo. Out Tomorrow!”
In the poster, Shahid appears in a fierce and unsettling avatar. His face, neck, and hands are smeared with blood. Cuts, bruises, and tattoos cover his body. He is seen screaming with his mouth wide open, dressed in a dark, partially unbuttoned shirt. Accessories like rings, bracelets, a belt and a chain necklace add to the raw and aggressive look. The image hints at a violent and emotionally heavy story.
Presented by Sajid Nadiadwala, O Romeo is scheduled for a theatrical release on February 13, 2026, just ahead of Valentine’s Day.

About The Film
O Romeo marks another collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bhardwaj. The duo has previously worked together on Kaminey (2009) and Haider (2014). Both films were praised for their bold storytelling and Shahid’s powerful performances.
The film is said to be a modern and dark reimagining inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Set in a gritty and violent world, the story explores love, obsession, rage and betrayal. There is also speculation that the film may be loosely inspired by gangster Hussain Ustara, with Shahid playing a criminal with a layered personal life.
