Oscars 2023: The time when we thought that films like RRR or Kashmir Files could make it to the Oscars as India’s Official entry, but now The Film Federation of India has announced that it is the Gujarati film ‘Chhello Show’, Also called as ‘Last Film Show’ in English, which has been selected as India’s entry for the Academy Awards.
Meanwhile Directed by Pan Nalin, the film is all set to release in in theatres countrywide on the 14th of October.

The film is inspired by the director's own memories of being in love with Cinema as a child, while he stayed in the rural parts of Gujrat. The plot revolves around a nine-year-old boy who lives in a village and is deeply in love with Cinema. It Shows the journey of the kid on how he manages to watch films from the projection booth. Basically, 'Last Film Show' is the story of struggle mixed with a lot of Passion.
Meanwhile, its world premiere happened at the Tribeca Film Festival in June last year. The film is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur's banner Roy Kapur Films, Jugaad Motion Pictures, Monsoon Films, Chhello Show LLP, and Marc Duale.
