Dhurandhar: Aditya Dhar’s film Dhurandhar has touched the ₹600 crore mark worldwide today. However, it has put India and Pakistan at loggerheads again.
Dhurandhar: What Pakistani Public Say?
The movie has been slammed by Pakistani news and social media outlets as “routine anti-Pak propaganda” and a “deliberate distortion of facts.” In contrast, the Indian sees has blasted it just another example of knee-jerk outrage from a nation that cannot face uncomfortable truths.
In the video, Pakistani public can be seen saying that the movie is a set of lies, and nothing else. Some Pakistanis even believe that the main characters shown in bad light in the movie were actually good who served the people. However, Pakistan Police’s own records refute these claims but then what else could be expected from Pakistani public who even believe they won the 1965, 1971, 1999 and 2025 wars against India.
What Makes The Movie Controversial For Pakistanis?
The movie portrays the story of Indian intelligence officers dismantling a terror network in Pakistan. Dhurandhar has many references to the Kandahar hijacking, 13/12 Indian Parliament attack and the 26/11 Hotel Taj Attack in Mumbai.
The Real Truth That Dhurandhar Exposed
There is no denying the fact that Pakistan has been a terror state all these years. Osama Bin Laden, the global terrorist who planned the US 9/11 attacks, was found in Pakistan. The country has been involved in more than 1,000 attacks on India and has not acted against terrorists in their country despite mounting evidence.
Needless to say, when art mirrors political truth, those in denial usually labels it as “propaganda.”
Dhurandhar simply reveals the real story that people wanted to hear – a story that is deep rooted in the lived experiences of sacrifice, resilience and terror. And in that telling, the movie simply reflects the world things as they were and are without attacking Pakistan.
