Fans love the cute chemistry between Rinki and Sachivji in Panchayat. But Saanvika, who plays Rinki, recently shared that a kiss scene was originally written for Season 4, and she was not okay with it.
In an interview with Just Too Filmy, Saanvika said the kiss wasn’t mentioned during the first narration. Later, the director spoke to her about a moment where Rinki and Sachivji kiss in a car. She recalled, “In the beginning, no one said anything when the narration was done. But then, director Akshat talked to me. He told that in this season we have inserted a scene where Sachiv ji and Rinki will kiss.”
Panchayat Season 4 Actress Refused Kiss Scene Over Comfort And Audience Concerns
Saanvika asked for time to think about it. She was unsure due to her comfort level and the show’s family viewership. She further revealed, “So I said, give me two days to think whether I am comfortable doing it or not. Then I thought that ‘Panchayat’ has all kinds of audiences, but mostly family people. I was worried about how he would react, and I was also not comfortable. So I refused at that time.”
The makers respected her choice and removed the scene. They later added the “tank scene” instead. But even that wasn’t easy to shoot. She added, “They said that we will not shoot it in a vulgar way. But when we were shooting, it felt awkward. I became very uncomfortable, but Jeetu (Jitendra Kumar) is a very nice person. He makes you feel comfortable.”
