Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, is having a bumpy run at the box office. The romantic comedy, produced by Maddock Films, has earned Rs 37.10 crore net in India in six days. The film started strong over the weekend, but weekday numbers have been disappointing.
Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 6
The movie opened on Friday, August 29, with Rs 7.25 crore. Saturday showed growth with Rs 9.25 crore, and Sunday was the best so far with Rs 10.25 crore.
Things changed from Monday. Collections dropped to Rs 3.25 crore, marking a sharp fall. On Tuesday, ticket offers pushed it up slightly to Rs 4.25 crore. But Wednesday saw the lowest figures yet with Rs 2.85 crore. With this, the total stands at Rs 37.10 crore. The trend shows a strong start but weak hold during weekdays.
Even with its below-average run, Param Sundari has given some relief to its lead stars. For Sidharth Malhotra, the film has already beaten the lifetime collection of Thank God (Rs 36.35 crore). It is now his seventh highest grosser.
For Janhvi Kapoor, the success matters more. The film crossed Mr and Mrs Mahi (Rs 36.34 crore), becoming her second-highest grosser after Dhadak. However, there is no chance of touching Dhadak, which remains her only big hit.

About The Film
Released on August 29, the rom-com got mixed reviews. Viewers liked the Kerala backdrops and Sachin-Jigar’s music. The song “Pardesiya,” sung by Sonu Nigam, has become a highlight for fans.
But critics say the story is weak and predictable. Many felt it did not deliver the charm expected from a romantic comedy.
As the first week ends today, Param Sundari remains at a critical point. The weekend gave it momentum, but the sharp weekday falls raise doubts about its future. Upcoming releases like Baaghi 4 and The Bengal Files will also make survival tough.
For now, the film has helped Sidharth and Janhvi avoid another flop. Still, without stronger collections over the weekend, its run in theatres may soon come to an end.
