It looks like Param Sundari fans will have to wait a bit longer. The romantic drama starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor was supposed to release on July 25. But with zero promotions in sight and no official buzz from Maddock Films, the writing was already on the wall.

Now, things are becoming clearer. Sources have confirmed that Param Sundari is no longer coming out in July. Maddock Films confirmed in a unique way that Param Sundari won’t release on July 25 as planned. Instead, the film will now arrive sometime in August.

The teaser for Param Sundari was attached to Maalik, which hit theatres on July 11. The teaser was mostly the same as the one released earlier in May, but there was one big change—the release date. The original teaser said “In cinemas, July 25” - but the updated one now reads “In cinemas worldwide this August.”

When Will Param Sundari Hit Theatres?

The most likely release date now appears to be August 29. While Maddock Films hasn’t dropped an official statement yet, they did hint at a shift in a subtle way on social media.

A trade insider told Bollywood Hungama, “August 29 seems like the likely date. If they had planned to release the film on August 1, there would have been some developments by now in terms of promotions and distribution deals. That hasn’t happened so far.”

The source further explained that an August 14 release is almost impossible since War 2 and Coolie are already locked for that weekend. “It is not advisable to release a film a week before or after two big releases. This leaves August 29 as the apt date for Param Sundari. Nevertheless, let’s wait for the official announcement.”

Why Did Param Sundari Skip July Release?

Produced by Dinesh Vijan, it is said to be a vibrant romantic drama with a twist. The fresh pairing of Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, the film has generated quiet curiosity among fans. The delay may actually work in its favour, giving it a clearer window without major box office clashes. It was initially set to clash with Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar 2.

While the details are still under wraps, the anticipation around the film is slowly building. War 2 and Coolie are dominating the August 14 slot. Therefore, moving to the quieter August 29 weekend could give Param Sundari the space it needs to shine.

Baby Do Die Do Teaser Surprises Maalik Audience

Meanwhile, moviegoers watching Rajkummar Rao’s Maalik were treated to an unexpected bonus - the teaser of Baby Do Die Do. Produced by siblings Huma Qureshi and Saqib Saleem under their Saleem Siblings banner, the teaser packs a punch.

Huma plays the “1st desi female assassin” in the teaser that gives a quick glimpse into her bold and mysterious character. Sikandar Kher’s voice can be heard in the teaser, which ends with a cheeky line: “Badi story, badi screen pe, coming soon, baby.”
