The celebrity couple reality show Pati Patni Aur Panga has got fans talking. Among the contestants is Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla. In a recent promo, the couple shared an emotional moment about their past financial struggles. Rubina admitted she once valued expensive gifts over the feelings behind them, which left Abhinav hurt.

Colors TV shared a new promo on their social media showing Abhinav breaking down in tears as he asks Rubina to tell the story. Rubina recalled a time when Abhinav, during a low financial phase, saved up to buy her a simple birthday gift. She said, “Voh ek gift bag lekar aaya aur bola – Happy Birthday.” Instead of appreciating it, she threw tantrums and questioned the gift. Abhinav replied, “Rubina iss baar paise nahi the (Rubina, this time I had no money).”
Rubina added, “That hit me so hard that hum itni galat jagah expectations dete hai (That hit me so hard that we have wrong expectations).” Even today, she keeps the bag Abhinav gave her safely.

Rubina and Abhinav married in 2018 and are now parents to twin daughters, who live with Rubina’s parents in Shimla. During Bigg Boss 14, the couple shared the challenges they faced in marriage and how the show helped strengthen their bond.
