Actress Patralekhaa has strongly reacted to body-shaming comments after her first public appearance post motherhood. The actor, who recently welcomed her daughter, faced harsh criticism online, with trolls focusing on her weight gain instead of celebrating her new phase in life.
Patralekhaa, who is married to Rajkummar Rao, was recently spotted visiting the Excel Entertainment office in Mumbai. The outing marked her first appearance after giving birth to her baby girl, Parvati, in November 2025. However, instead of support, she was met with insensitive remarks from paparazzi pages and social media users.
Many online comments compared her post-pregnancy body to other celebrities who seemed to lose weight quickly. The narrative quickly turned toxic, pushing Patralekhaa to respond publicly.
Patralekhaa Calls Out Bodyshaming Culture
Breaking her silence, Patralekhaa took to Instagram Stories on April 17 and delivered a strong message. She directly addressed the paparazzi pages and online trolls who commented on her body.
She wrote, “Pap pages! What’s happened to me!? Is that I have just given birth! Yes, I have gained weight, which seems like an unnatural phenomenon to you all. I have not sat and eaten a mountain, I just delivered a baby and produced two films simultaneously which are not easy jobs. If I could, I would not be this way. But that’s how my body has reacted to pregnancy. For God’s sake, please learn to be a little kind.”

While the controversy grabbed headlines, it also highlighted an important milestone in Patralekhaa’s life. She and Rajkummar Rao welcomed their daughter, Parvati Paul Rao, on November 15, 2025 (coinciding with their fourth wedding anniversary).

Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao’s journey together is nothing short of special. Interestingly, their first impressions of each other were completely different. Rajkummar was instantly drawn to her after seeing her in an advertisement. On the other hand, Patralekhaa initially found him “creepy” because of his role in Love Sex Aur Dhokha.
They eventually met during a music video shoot in 2010. What started as awkward interactions soon turned into a deep friendship and later, a strong relationship. The couple supported each other through years of struggle in the film industry.
