Pawan Kalyan Starrer Hari Hara Veera Mallu Postponed Yet Again, To Now Hit Theatres In July On THIS Date

Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the much-delayed period drama starring actor and Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, has been pushed once again. The makers have now locked in a new release date of July 24, 2025. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and AM Jothi Krisna, the film has been in production for over five years.

The film was earlier slated for a June 12 release but couldn't meet the deadline due to technical issues. In an official statement, the makers said, “Powerstar Pawan Kalyan Garu’s legacy deserves nothing short of cinematic brilliance… The reward will be worth the wait.”

Why Hari Hara Veera Mallu Was Delayed Again?

The main reason behind the delay was unfinished post-production work. According to sources, the film wasn't submitted to the censor board on time, and there were last-minute issues with sound, VFX, and overseas prints. Director Jothi Krisna reportedly insisted on not compromising the quality of the film and wanted more time to polish it.

Marketing also played a role as the Hindi version of the film is being released by Anil Thadani’s AA Films. As per a Filmfare report, Thadani advised the team to hold off the release until a powerful trailer was ready to build hype in the Hindi belt. 

A source said, “Anil asked the filmmakers to release a solid trailer that’ll create a good buzz in the Hindi belt.” He also suggested a major promotional event in Mumbai, as the film’s themes touch on Sanatana Dharma, which could strike a chord with North Indian audiences.

What To Expect From This Pawan Kalyan Starrer

Set in a grand historical setting, the film promises an epic mix of action, culture, and powerful storytelling. Pawan Kalyan plays a unique role that the makers describe as a “battle for truth, faith and freedom.”

The film features music by Oscar-winner MM Keeravani, with cinematography by Gnana Shekar V. S. and Manoj Paramahamsa. Edited by Praveen KL, the project is produced by A Dayakar Rao and presented by AM Rathnam under Mega Surya Production.
