Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh is going through a very unusual phase in his career. On one side, he is receiving serious threats linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. On the other hand, his music is breaking huge records across the country.
He has already built a solid name in the Bhojpuri industry, but his Bollywood entry pushed him even higher. His energetic song “Aayi Nai” from Stree 2 became a national hit as soon as it was released in 2024. People danced to it everywhere, social media was full of reels, and Pawan Singh’s voice became a favourite at celebrations across India.
Stree 2 Song By Pawan Singh Achieves Major Milestone
Pawan Singh has a style that listeners connect with instantly. His new song “Dhamaka” went viral on social media, and his older songs still get a lot of love. This response shows why fans call him the “power star” of Bhojpuri music.
But “Aayi Nai” is the song that truly changed things for him. The track (composed by Sachin–Jigar and written by Amitabh Bhattacharya) features vocals from Pawan Singh, Simran Chaudhary, Divya Kumar and Sachin–Jigar. It is part of the Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor and Tamannaah-starrer Stree 2, which was a huge box office success.
Released in 2024 by Saregama Music, “Aayi Nai” has crossed 787 million YouTube views, and the number keeps rising every day. Fans across India have praised the song online.
Pawan Recently Received Threats From Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
But alongside this success came a serious scare. Pawan Singh recently received death threats and extortion calls from people claiming to be part of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threats reportedly started soon after he announced that he would appear with Salman Khan at the Bigg Boss 19 grand finale.
The callers warned him not to share the stage with Khan, citing the gang’s long-standing hostility linked to the 1998 blackbuck case. They also demanded a large amount of money.
Despite this, Pawan Singh did not back out. He attended the finale, met Salman Khan warmly, and even performed with him on stage. After the event, his manager filed written complaints with Mumbai Police, including call logs and WhatsApp messages that documented the threats.
The Anti-Extortion Cell has now launched an investigation. Officers are tracking the origin of the calls, which are believed to be linked to locations between Bihar and Mumbai. Pawan Singh already has Y+ security due to past threats, and he has now been given additional protection. Police have assured that strict action will follow once the inquiry is complete.
