Payal Rohatgi, known for her bold remarks and reality TV appearances, is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons. The former Bigg Boss contestant has sparked a huge backlash online after screenshots of her WhatsApp chats with journalists surfaced, showing what many call insensitive comments about mental health and late actress Shefali Jariwala.

Shefali Jariwala’s sudden death on June 27 shocked the entertainment world. Reports from her home revealed she was using anti-ageing medicines, skin supplements, and vitamin pills. While the investigation is still on, the internet has been filled with debates and theories about the cause of her death.

Payal Rohatgi Slammed For Her Insensitive Comments

Amid this sensitive time, Payal’s WhatsApp conversations have gone viral and made things worse. It all began when a journalist tried to clarify divorce rumours about Payal and her husband, wrestler Sangram Singh. The journalist sent a polite message asking if the rumours of a possible separation were true.

But Payal’s response was shocking as she responded rudely, saying the journalist was depressed and warned against drug use during the day, claiming an overdose could be fatal. The journalist explained they were just trying to confirm the facts, but Payal did not stop. She further added a cryptic comment, saying that the journalist’s own publication would blame anti-ageing medication if anything happened.

Though Payal didn’t name Shefali Jariwala, many social media users felt the comment was clearly pointing towards her. This led to immediate outrage. Payal even shared screenshots of the conversation on her Instagram story on July 9, which only added fuel to the fire.

In another chat with the journalist, Payal again made insensitive remarks. She wrote, “Hope you are not into depression and drinking.” When she was called out for mocking mental health issues, Payal responded angrily: “When you all made fun of my mental health did I react like this? As a journalist don’t f**k around with me again. Go file your story.”

She even blocked the journalist briefly before sending a final sharp message saying, “U all have been following me since 3 years waiting for me to crumble. U think I am born yesterday? Karma comes for all. How ever sweet u portray like fraud. Now I hope you will kindly get lost.”

Netizens Slam Lockupp Star

These chats spread like wildfire on Reddit and social media platforms. Many called Payal’s behaviour heartless and disgusting. One user said that if someone can’t handle public questions, they should stop sharing their personal life online. Others said mocking depression and hinting at someone’s death (Shefali Jariwala) is not just insensitive but cruel.
