‘Pehla Din…’ Proud Father Amitabh Bachchan Shares Update As Abhishek Bachchan Begins Shooting For Shah Rukh Khan Starrer King

Amitabh Bachchan recently shared a heartfelt post for his son Abhishek Bachchan as he has started shooting for King, an upcoming action film starring Shah Rukh Khan. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji.

In his emotional post, Big B wrote, “Ek chap ke kuch hi dinon mein, release hone waali hai .. aur ek aur nayi film ki shuruaat ho gayi hai .. pehla din film ‘KING’ ki shooting … My blessings Bhaiyu .. love and more ❤️ And one more film shooting is complete and ready and coming soon .. my prayers ever.” 

Reacting to his post, a social media user said, “First official announcement of King came randomly from Bachchan saab.”

Another commented, “Lo announcement ho gayi finally.”

Big B Amitabh Bachchan Celebrates 25 Years Of Abhishek Bachchan In Bollywood

Amitabh also marked Abhishek’s 25 years in the industry. Sharing a fan-made video on X that showed scenes from his son’s movies, the veteran actor posted, “Is Variety ko maine pranaam karta hoon, aur apne putra ki sarahna karta hoon. Jee haan, pita hoon main uska, aur mere liye mera putra Abhishek sarahna karne yogya hai."

Abhishek made his Bollywood debut in 2000 with JP Dutta’s Refugee, alongside Kareena Kapoor. Over the years, he starred in hit films like Yuva, Bunty Aur Babli, Dhoom, Sarkar, Delhi-6, Happy New Year and The Big Bull.

What’s Next For Abhishek Bachchan?

Abhishek’s next film, Kaalidhar Laapata, will release on Zee5 on July 4. Directed by Madhumita, the film also stars Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub.

Meanwhile, King is set to release in 2026 and is already making headlines. Shah Rukh Khan plays a deadly assassin.
