A year after sharing her breast cancer diagnosis, Hina Khan says she feels people in the entertainment industry are still unsure about casting her. The television star, famous for Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, has now made her comeback with Pati Patni Aur Panga. But she admits the road back to work has not been easy.
Hina Khan On Struggles With Work Offers
Hina revealed that her illness forced her to step away from several projects. Even now, she has not received a call for work in over a year.
She shared with PTI, “This is my first project after the whole thing happened. I want to work. No one has directly said to me that, ‘You’ve still not recovered completely’, but I can sense that maybe people are hesitant for all the right reasons. It’s okay. I’ll have to break that norm. Maybe the show will do it, I understand it.”
She added that she is open to auditions and ready to try different projects. The actress said, “Had I been in their place, I would’ve thought about it a thousand times. I’m open to everything, please call me.”
Hina’s Comeback With Pati Patni Aur Panga
Hina Khan is now part of Pati Patni Aur Panga on Colors TV. The reality show features celebrity couples competing in fun and emotional challenges. Hina appears with her partner Rocky Jaiswal. Other couples include:

For Hina, joining the show was a test of her strength. She explained, “It was an experiment as far as my health is concerned, like whether I’ll be able to do it or not. So far so good, I get tired a bit, but apart from that, everything is fine. I’m ready to take up anything, be it a digital show, or anything, I would not take up a long-term commitment.”
Hina Khan Wants To Play A Spy Next
Hina Khan has clear plans for the future. She wants to explore action and spy roles on OTT platforms or in films. She shared, “I want to be part of the spy universe, be it in OTT or in films. I was watching a show, Special Ops, I so wanted to play a spy, manifesting it.”
Meanwhile, Pati Patni Aur Panga premieres every Saturday-Sunday at 9:30 on JioHotstar and Colors TV.
