Priyanka Chopra poses with daughter Malti Marie for magazine; recalls her birth complications

Priyanka Chopra

Priyanka Chopra has finally revealed intimate facts about the birth of her daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The star, who has avoided posting photographs of Malti’s face on social media, discussed her early birth, why she chose surrogacy, and more.

Priyanka told British Vogue that her kid was born a full trimester too soon. “I was in the operating room [OR] when she born. She was just small as my hand,” Priyanka added. “I see what intensive-care nurses perform. They carry out God’s plan. Both Nick and I were standing nearby as they intubated her. “I’m not sure how they found what they needed to intubate her. I didn’t know if she’d make it,” she added.

Priyanka Chopra praises her surrogate

She stated that due to medical issues, she was unable to bear a kid herself. “I had medical difficulties,” she added, “this was a necessary step, and I’m so grateful I was in a position where I could do this. Our surrogate was very generous, kind, charming, and humorous, and she looked after our precious gift for six months.”

In 2018, Priyanka and Nick Jonas married. The couple announced the birth of their first child in January in a joint post on Instagram. Malti Marie’s name was inspired by their moms’ middle names.

Work Front

Priyanka will be seen next in Russo Brothers’ Citadel, starring Richard Madden, and Love Again, starring Sam Heughan. Priyanka also confirmed in the same interview that a big chunk of her Citadel backstory will be revealed in the Indian version of Citadel, directed by Raj and DK and co-starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also stars in Jee Le Zaara alongside Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
