Priyanka Chopra, ‘Bollywood bully’ Karan Johar hug and make up at NMACC event days after her shocking interview

Priyanka Chopra: Only a few days back Priyanka Chopra gave an explosive interview about how she was bullied in Bollywood. On Friday night the Citadel actor greeted filmmaker Karan Johar at the inauguration of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre in Mumbai on Friday. Though Priyanka had not taken any names in the interview, Kangana Ranaut tweeted that “everyone knows Karan Johar had banned Priyanka Chopra”.

Priyanka and husband Nick Jonas arrived in India along with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas on Friday. In the evening they made a stunning appearance at the NMACC launch. They mingled with Bollywood biggies Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh and Karan Johar.

A video shared on social media showed Karan and Priyanka hugging each other chatting candidly. Karan also hugged Nick and talked to the couple for quite some timew. Priyanka looked happy in the video, laughing aloud as they held hands and chatted.

Soon after the video went online, fans started commenting. A fan wrote, “PC to Nick: “Yeah. This is the man who even dared to think that he could ruin my career”.” Another wrote, “Pri brought the floor down….that gown/dress was epic, thats how it should be, as in you comeback to your hometown with a bang like you never left.” One more fan commented, "Nick and Priyanka gesture are so sweet!! They both were so ready to give KJ a warmth hugs."

A comment read: "No matter what people do or say about her , she will still have that kindness in her heart as always."

Priyanka makes stunning entry

Priyanka looked glamourous in a sheer beige gown with a sheer cape. Nick looked dapper in a black suit. The couple is on their first trip to India with daughter Malti. Priyanka's mom Dr Madhu Chopra also accompanied them to India.

Earlier this week, Priyanka gave a shocking interview on Dax Shepard’s a podcast Armchair Expert. She revealed how she was sidelined in Bollywood. That was the reason she decided to move to the west.

She said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break. This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn't want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require grovelling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn't feel like I wanted to do it.”

Reacting to the news, Priyanka's Fashion co-star Kangana had tweeted, “This is what ⁦@priyankachopra⁩ has to say about Bollywood, people ganged up on her, bullied her and chased her out of film industry a self made woman was made to leave India. Everyone knows Karan Johar had banned her.”

She wrote in another tweet, “Media wrote extensively about her fall out with Karan Johar because of her friendship with SRK and movie mafia Cruella who is always looking for vulnerable outsiders saw a perfect punching bag in PC and went all out in harassing her to a point where she had to leave India.”
