Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda tragically passed away at the age of 35 after battling for life for nearly 12 days at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. The artist had suffered severe head and spinal injuries in a road accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh (on September 27), when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle that suddenly appeared on the road.

Rajvir Jawanda Death: Why He Couldn’t Survive?

Doctors revealed that Jawanda’s neurological condition remained critical throughout his hospitalisation. Despite intensive care and continuous monitoring, there was no significant improvement. His condition had been described as “extremely critical” soon after the accident, and he was kept on life support from the moment he was admitted.

The news of his untimely demise has sent shockwaves through the Punjabi entertainment industry and left fans across the country in deep mourning. Tributes have poured in from fellow artists, colleagues, and fans, remembering him for both his talent and his vibrant personality.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the hospital on Sunday to enquire about Jawanda’s condition, showing the deep concern for the young artiste.

About His Personal and Professional Life

Born in Pona village, Jagraon, Ludhiana, Rajvir Jawanda built a strong fan base with songs like Tu Dis Penda, Khush Reha Kar, Afreen, Landlord, Down to Earth, and Kangani. His ability to blend traditional Punjabi sounds with modern beats earned him a lasting place in the hearts of music lovers.

Jawanda (a resident of Sector 71, Mohali) was widely admired for his music and acting. He gained popularity with hit Punjabi songs such as Surname, Kamla, Mera Dil, and Sardari. Alongside his singing career, he made a mark in Punjabi cinema with films like Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, Kaka Ji, and the Gippy Grewal-starrer Subedar Joginder Singh (2018).

He began his musical journey in 2014 with the single Munda Like Me. Jawanda quickly rose to fame with his soulful voice and lyrics celebrating Punjabi culture and pride. According to his official Apple Music biography, he had initially dreamed of becoming a police officer but ultimately followed his passion for music.
