‘It’s my body…’ Rachel McAdams displays hairy armpits and fans are thrilled

Rachel McAdams: Internet is divided over Hollywood actor Rachel McAdams’s  photoshoot showing her hairy armpits. Rachel has always been candid with her choices and her recent photoshoot has sparked a debate on the internet as the issue hit close to home.

The American actor in her photoshoot for a US-based digital magazine is displaying her armpit hair. And while the actor looks glamourous in the digital photoshoot in a latex outfit, netizens couldn't stop talking about her armpit hair.

In the featured photo, McAdams, 44, looks stunning in a black vintage corset paired with black Hermès pants.

Fans are thrilled

Many of the Notebook star fans were thrilled to see her subtly challenging patriarchal beauty norms. One person wrote, ‘Am I imaging the armpit hair ?!! Omggg stunning! I’m in love!!!’

Another commented, “Rachel McAdams is Beautiful!! I love natural women, it's so sad that people are hateful for being real!! We are not barbies people!! Good for her, she is sexy!! Hopefully this catches on to the sheeple!!”

On the other side, many were disappointed with the actor and said it was not cool to display armpit hair.

While admirers are divided, Rachel said, "With this shoot, I'm wearing latex underwear, but I've had two children. This is my body, and I think that's so important to reflect back out to the world." She further said, “This is my body, and I think that’s so important to reflect back out to the world.”

Julia Roberts did it too

This is not the first time that an actress has created controversy for embracing her natural look. In the past, Julia Roberts and Miley Cyrus too flaunted underarm hair.

While women with completely smooth and toned underarms receive lot of appreciation, many believe that it is a women’s choice. Like men, women too grow underarm hair. If they choose to remove it, great. If they choose not to, well, it’s her choice.
