Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 5: Riteish Deshmukh Film Slips Again On Tuesday, Race To Beat Sairat Turns Uncertain

Raja Shivaji slows down on Day 5 with a Tuesday drop, taking its India nett total to Rs 44.40 crore. The Riteish Deshmukh film nears major Marathi milestones but faces a tough challenge to beat Sairat’s record.

Raja Shivaji Box Office Collection Day 5: The buzz around Raja Shivaji has been massive ever since its announcement. Mounted on a grand scale and backed by strong promotions, the film opened to high expectations across Maharashtra and beyond. Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, the historical drama has drawn audiences to theatres.

Released on May 1, 2026, Raja Shivaji quickly gained momentum at the box office with impressive opening numbers. The film saw double-digit collections over its opening weekend and maintained steady footfall into the weekdays. However, its Day 5 performance shows a continued weekday drop.

Raja Shivaji collected Rs 4.90 crore nett on Tuesday, taking its five-day total to Rs 44.40 crore nett in India. The film’s gross collection has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark, standing at Rs 52.68 crore. While the numbers remain strong, the Tuesday drop indicates a slight slowdown after a powerful start.

The film has performed best in the Marathi market. On Day 5, it earned Rs 3.35 crore from the Marathi version, while the Hindi version added Rs 1.55 crore. Despite the dip, the film continues to draw audiences in significant numbers.

With its current run, Raja Shivaji has already become one of the top-performing Marathi films. It has surpassed Natsamrat to emerge as one of the highest-grossing films in the industry.

The film is now close to entering the top three and is expected to soon cross Ved, another hit starring Riteish Deshmukh. However, the bigger challenge lies ahead. Sairat remains the highest-grossing Marathi film of all time with around Rs 80–81 crore nett in India.

At its current pace, Raja Shivaji still needs a significant push to reach that benchmark. While the target is tough, it is not entirely out of reach if the film maintains steady collections in the coming days.
