Rakul Preet Singh has starred in two back-to-back comedy movies recently. The first comedy movie of Rakul Preet was Anubhuti Kashyap’s Doctor G with Ayushmann Khurrana and now she is seen in Indra Kumar’s fantasy-comedy drama Thank God with Sidharth Malhotra and Ajay Devgn. Talking about the response, Rakul shared that her father called her at night after the release to tell her that ‘Thank God’ was her best film ever in her career.
“My dad felt that this generation would love this film”
Rakul Preet Singh told in an interview that her dad expressed that Thank God would connect with the current generation as it upheld the family values and culture of the country. She stated, “This is the earliest my parents have seen my film. Let me tell you, they called me at 12 in the morning and my dad said, this is your best film so far in your career and I was like what really? And my dad felt that this generation would love this film. Families would love the film because it has a real story for our culture and family. He took the number of the director to praise the film.”
The Yaariyan actress was present to see the audience’s reaction for the film. She conducted surprise visits to movie theatres. She said that, “I did surprise visits at the theatres and I am so happy to see audience’s reaction.” Rakul Preet Singh did the role of female cop and she was praised for effortlessly doing the role.
