RRR song Naatu Naatu won an Oscar under the Best Original Song category. It defeated the likes of Applause from Tell It Like A Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This Is Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once.
‘This journey is special’
After the track won the award, Ram Charan said in an interview at the red carpet, “This journey is special…As actors when we were shooting, we never thought…but today, it is not our film or our song but it has become people’s song and they have owned it so much across the globe from Japan to USA. They have brought the movie and song into what it has come today. We so pray to God for that.”
While in Delhi, While Ram Charan will be attend a media summit before he heads home to Hyderabad.
Guneet Monga returns home
The Elephant Whisperers won Best Documentary Short at the Oscars 2023. Filmmaker/producer Guneet Monga returned to India after her victory at the Oscars. At the airport, she was welcomed with garlands and was swarmed by cheering fans. She held the award in her hand at the airport. Watch the video.

Jr NTR receives warm welcome
Earlier on March 15 Jr NTR returned from the US . He too received a warm welcome from hundreds of fans at Hyderabad airport. His wife, Lakshmi Pranathi came to receive him at the airport.
In a chat with reporters at the airport, Jr NTR said his best moment from the Oscars 2023 was “the moment when Keeravani and Chandrabose received the award on stage. That was my best moment.”
