He read it aloud with a smile: “Ek superstar tha jo, ‘See you at the movies,’ bolke 3-4 saal gayab ho jaata hai (There was a superstar once who would always say see you at the movies, but then would disappear for the next 3-4 years)!”
The comment referred to Ranbir’s famous award speech line, “See you at the movies.” Reacting to the comment, he said, “Yaar, it’s my bad luck only! Whenever I start a movie, it is usually… People finish movies in 4-6 months, but my films take a long time. But I hope that when it releases, you forget all that time it has taken. I assure you that I am working really hard since the last 2-3 years. I have been working very hard. So I guess good things take time.”

Ranbir Kapoor’s Upcoming Projects
Ranbir Kapoor is currently busy with some of the most-awaited films in Indian cinema. One of his biggest projects is Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Ranbir plays Lord Ram in this epic mythological drama. He stars alongside Sai Pallavi, who plays Sita, and Yash, who plays Ravana. The film is planned as a two-part saga. The first instalment is scheduled for release during Diwali 2026. Meanwhile, work on the sequel is expected to begin in early 2026.
At the same time, Ranbir is filming Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The romantic drama reunites him with Alia Bhatt and also stars Vicky Kaushal. The project has already created a strong buzz.
Ranbir Kapoor’s slate doesn’t stop there. He will return in Animal Park, the sequel to Animal. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga reportedly plans to begin filming in 2027. Reports suggest Ranbir may play a dual role.
