Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh on Tuesday shared the first poster of his upcoming film ‘Cirkus,’ which is slated to release this Christmas. The Rohit Shetty directorial had earlier locked a June 2022 release. The ‘Gully Boy’ actor will be seen in a double role, along with Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde. Sharing the film’s poster, Ranveer Singh wrote, “Let’s bring the house down this Christmas!!!!!”
‘Cirkus’ marks Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty’s third collaboration. The two have previously collaborated for the first time in the 2018 film ‘Simmba’. They also worked together on ‘Sooryavanshi’, in which Ranveer had featured in a cameo. The movie will be co-produced by Rohit Shetty, Bhushan Kumar, and Reliance Entertainment.
Sharing the first poster of the film, Rohit Shetty wrote- “It’s time to bring our audience back to the cinemas… ONCE AGAIN! Golmaal released 16 years ago and the love you all gave me made me what i am today! ‘Cirkus’ is a christmas gift for you and your family! Kyunki iss âCirkus’ mein bohot sara Golmaal hai!!!” Ranveer Singh also shared the same poster and shared the release date.
For the uninitiated, Cirkus is loosely based on Gulzar’s 1982 comedy classic, Angoor, which in turn was adapted from Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors.
