About Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar The Revenge
The film is directed by Aditya Dhar, who has also written and produced the project. The film is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also features actors R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal in important roles.
In the sequel, Ranveer Singh will appear in dual roles as Jaskirat Singh Rangi and Hamza Ali Mazari. The story follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent who infiltrates criminal groups and political networks in Karachi.
After eliminating crime boss Rehman Dakait, played by Akshaye Khanna, Hamza rises within the underworld. However, he soon faces his biggest challenge yet – ISI mastermind Major Iqbal (also known as Bade Sahab).
The story is loosely inspired by several real-life events in South Asia, including the Indian Airlines Flight 814 hijacking, the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, and the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film will be released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Its theatrical release also coincides with festivals such as Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and just before Eid al-Fitr, which could help boost its box office performance.
