Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar May Beat Chhaava and Pushpa 2, But Can Never Beat THIS 2025 Film’s Earnings! Check Numbers

Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar is roaring at the box office with Rs 639 cr worldwide in 12 days. Yet, it still cannot beat 2025’s most profitable film, the Gujarati sleeper hit Laalo. Read to know why!

Ranveer Singh is having a dream run at the box office. His latest release, Dhurandhar, has turned into a nationwide sensation. The film is not just holding strong. It is breaking records almost every day. Even weekdays have failed to slow it down.

In just 11 days, Dhurandhar crossed the massive ₹600 crore mark worldwide. That kind of momentum is rare. Trade experts are calling it one of the strongest second-week holds seen in recent years. Naturally, the big question follows. Can Dhurandhar become the biggest hit of 2025?

The numbers tell an exciting story.

Dhurandhar Box Office Performance So Far

The film wrapped up its first week with a worldwide gross of ₹319 crore. That alone was impressive. However, the real shock came during the second weekend. Collections jumped sharply. The film raced past Rs 400 crore and Rs 500 crore with ease.

After 12 days in theatres, Dhurandhar now stands at Rs 639 crore gross worldwide. This makes it the third-highest-grossing Indian film of 2025 so far. Only two films are ahead of it. These are Kantara Chapter One, which earned ₹851 crore, and Chhaava, which closed at Rs 808 crore.

For a December release, these figures are remarkable. The audience response has clearly gone beyond initial hype.

Has Dhurandhar Defeated Chhaava And Kantara Chapter One?

When it comes to profits, Dhurandhar is already a blockbuster. The film’s net earnings are close to Rs 500 crore. Reports suggest the landing cost of the first part is around Rs 140 crore. This puts its profit at roughly 250 to 260 percent.

That said, Chhaava and Kantara Chapter One are still ahead on this front. Chhaava reportedly earned a net Rs 650 crore on a Rs 125 crore budget. That translates to a stunning 420 percent profit. Kantara Chapter One earned around Rs 680 crore net on a Rs 150 crore budget, delivering a 350 percent profit.

To beat Chhaava in profitability, Dhurandhar needs to cross Rs 725 crore in net earnings. That would mean a worldwide gross of over Rs 950 crore. Trade analysts believe this is possible. Some even predict the film could touch the Rs 1,000 crore mark. If that happens, Dhurandhar will become the biggest hit among major releases of 2025.

One Film Ranveer Singh Starrer Can Never Beat

There is one title Dhurandhar can never overtake. That honour already belongs to a surprise Gujarati blockbuster.

Laalo – Krishna Sada Sahaayte was made on a shoestring budget of just Rs 50 lakh. Against all odds, it went on to gross Rs 111 crore. Its net earnings crossed ₹85 crore. This results in a jaw-dropping profit of nearly 17,000 percent.

To put that in perspective, Dhurandhar would need to earn around Rs 24,000 crore to match that profitability. That is more than what Titanic and Avatar: The Way of Water made globally. Clearly, that record is in a league of its own.
