The festival shared a message on Instagram to confirm the honour. It said, “We’re proud to partner with the Golden Globes Awards to honour Hind Sabri with the Omar Sharif Award and Alia Bhatt with the Golden Globe Horizon Award on the sidelines of the 5th Red Sea International Film Festival. Noteworthy, these two awards highlight the achievements of the brightest creative talents in the Middle East and North Africa.”

Alia Bhatt Also Unveiled FIRST Look Of Alpha At The Event

Alia also treated fans to another surprise. She revealed the first look of her upcoming action film Alpha. This film is an important title for Yash Raj Films. It is their first women-led spy thriller in the Spy Universe. The film stars Alia and Sharvari Wagh together, while Bobby Deol also plays a key role.

While speaking to Deadline, Alia shared her thoughts on leading the film. She said, “Alpha pehli female-lead action film hai Yash Raj Film Universe ki, toh isliye yeh bada risk bhi hai kyunki aisi koi history nahi hai ki yeh waise hi perform kare jaise doosri male-lead film ne kiya hai.” Her words show that she understands the pressure but is ready to take the challenge.

Alia also interacted with fans during her appearance. One fan asked if she felt pressure while representing India on global platforms. Alia said she wanted to stay curious “no matter what happens in the future” and felt proud instead of stressed.

A Pakistani fan then asked if she would visit Pakistan. Alia avoided the question politely and said she would go wherever her work took her. She also spoke about nepotism and said that when the audience sees someone “bringing something to the table, sab kuch maaf hai.”

Alpha Release Date

The release date of Alpha has also changed. The film was earlier planned for Christmas 2025. Now it will be released on April 17, 2026. The delay happened because the VFX work needed more time. A YRF spokesperson said, “Alpha ek special film hai humare liye aur hum ise best tareeke se present karna chahte hain. Humein ehsaas hua ki VFX ko thoda aur time lagega jitna humne socha tha usse zyada. Isi wajah se hum film ko ab 17 April 2026 ko release karenge.”

Alpha will bring Alia and Sharvari together for the first time. Fans are also excited to see Alia with Bobby Deol. Alia has a busy line-up ahead. She will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Viewers are eager to watch this trio on screen.
