Rhea Chakraborty didn’t reveal any names to NCB, says her lawyer

Reports of Rhea Chakraborty naming 25 Bollywood actors including some A-lister in drug connections have been going round since the actor was quizzed by the Narcotics Control Bureau(NCB). It was presumed that on the basis of her lead, NCB has now summoned other actors including Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and Deepika Padukone.

However, according to recent updates, Rhea’s lawyer, Satish Maneshinde, had now claimed that actor did not give any names to the NCB.

Maneshinde said in a TV interview, “Rhea Chakraborty has not named anybody in her statement. If NCB or anybody is making a statement that she has leaked, it’s totally false. There is no thread of evidence that suggests that Rhea Chakraborty has named anybody apart from what Sushant Singh Rajput had consumed all his life when she was with him.”

Talking about Rhea being called a part of drug syndicate by the NCB, he “Being in the household of Sushant Singh Rajput cannot be termed as a syndicate. She has not dealt with anybody in her life and there is no allegation that she dealt with anybody else.”

“What Jaya Saha did with Sushant and Rhea was only prescribe or send CBD oil which is an extract of ganja leaves, which is not a narcotic substance. You can see on the bottle of CBD that it does not contain any narcotic substance,” he added.

The NCB has summoned Deepika Padukone, Shreeepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khanand Rakul Preet Singh among others for questioning, an official said.

Rakul was asked to join the probe on Thursday, but she is now set to be questioned by the agency on Friday. Sara and Shraddha have been asked to join the probe on Saturday.

Deepika will be joining the investigation on Friday, her legal team informed. Besides Deepika, the agency will also question her manager Karishma.
