Pawan Singh is making headlines with his appearance on Amazon MX Player’s show Rise And Fall. The Bhojpuri superstar has joined as a contestant, and every day there’s some news about him. On the show, while sitting with other contestants, Pawan Singh recalled the days when travelling by flight or sitting in an AC train coach was just a dream. He became emotional sharing his story, and the other contestants were visibly moved.
Pawan Singh Recalls Days Before Stardom In Rise And Fall
In the latest episode of Rise And Fall, a co-contestant asked Pawan Singh about his life before becoming a star. Pawan Singh said, “Samay-samay ki baat hai wo bhi ek samay tha. Jab chhat par hum apne parivar ke saath sote the. Jab bhi koi jahaj nikalta tha to apne saath lete apne bhai-bandhu se baat karte the ki ye chhota sa jahaj isme log baithte kaise honge.”
He added, “Wahi hum log train ke general dibbe mein safar karte the aur jab kahin aadhe-poun ghante ke liye train rukti thi to hum log bhaagkar AC coach ki khidki se jhaankte the ki andar log kaise baithte honge. Ab to ye sab aam ho gaya hai, train se bahut samay ho gaya, flight se hi aana-jaana hota hai. Magar hum apna wo daur kabhi nahi bhule aur na kabhi bhoolenge.”
How Pawan Singh Rose To Fame In Bhojpuri Industry
Born in Jokhri village, Bihar, Pawan Singh is 39 years old and has been part of Bhojpuri cinema for nearly 20 years. He has loved singing since childhood and often performed songs with his uncle. He revealed that in the 1990s, his uncle taught him music. Around 2000, he started singing professionally, and albums began being released regularly.
In 2008, his song Lollipop Lagelu became a massive hit overnight, making Pawan Singh a star. The same year, his film Pratigya, co-starring Dinesh Lal, was released and became a superhit. Since then, Pawan Singh hasn’t looked back. Today, he is one of the most popular singers and actors in Bhojpuri cinema, with a reach extending even into Bollywood.
Apart from his professional life, Pawan Singh is also known as one of the most controversial celebrities in the industry. He recently faced massive backlash after inappropriately touching actress Anjali Raghav and later apologised for his actions.
